We believe in acting. In a world filled with keyboard warriors who are willing to complain but afraid to speak up, volunteer, run for office, make their voices heard at a town meeting, organize around an issue, or defend their rights, we choose a different path.
We take human action.
ACTION OVER APATHY
You Don’t Need Permission to Make a Difference.
Taking human action does not mean everyone has to become a politician or devote their life to politics. It means choosing to participate rather than sitting on the sidelines.
Liberty is advanced when ordinary people build relationships, show up in their communities, organize around specific issues, support principled candidates, speak at public meetings, and refuse to remain silent when government exceeds its proper limits.
There is a role for everyone.
WAYS TO TAKE HUMAN ACTION
Start Where You are.
You do not have to wait for Washington, Hartford, or anyone else. Start in your town, your community, and the places where your actions can have an immediate effect.
SHOW UP
Attend Connecticut Mises Caucus gatherings, town meetings, public hearings, party meetings, and community events.
RUN FOR LOCAL OFFICE
Consider serving on a town board, commission, council, school board, or another local office where decisions directly affect your community.
VOLUNTEER
Give a few hours of your time to organizing, outreach, events, campaigns, research, or another project that matches your skills.
SUPPORT PRINCIPLED CANDIDATES
Knock doors, collect signatures, make calls, donate, volunteer, or help principled candidates communicate the ideas of liberty.
ORGANIZE AROUND AN ISSUE
Build coalitions around property rights, decentralization, surveillance, gun rights, economic freedom, or another issue where principled local action can make a difference.
BUILD LIBERTY CULTURE
Read, learn, teach, host discussions, make friends, introduce people to Austrian economics, and help create a community in which liberty can endure.

Support DeFlock Connecticut
Mass surveillance should not be the price of living, traveling, or participating in your community.
Automated license plate reader networks can collect and retain information about the movements of ordinary people who are not suspected of any crime. When government agencies gain routine access to these systems, surveillance that once required significant resources can become continuous, automated, and largely invisible.
The Mises Caucus believes in decentralization, privacy, constitutional limits on government, and building local issue coalitions capable of challenging government overreach. Opposition to warrantless surveillance technology is directly consistent with that strategy.
The Connecticut Mises Caucus supports the DeFlock Connecticut Project and its efforts to educate Connecticut residents, organize locally, and challenge the expansion of automated surveillance in our communities.
You do not need to wait for Washington or Hartford. Learn what technology is being deployed in your town, ask questions, attend local meetings, contact your elected officials, and work with others who believe that public safety does not require treating everyone as a suspect.
We support peaceful political action, public education, lawful organizing, and efforts to change government policy. We do not support vandalism or destruction of property.
